Last month I did my first SS1000.  Before I made my attempt I went surfing on the IBA website.  When I looked at my profile, I noticed my email was still my old one.  When I made the change the forum would not let me back in.  For a month now I have not been able log onto the forum.  I sent emails to "kneebone@ironbutt.com" with no reply.  Can anyone help?  I use the same user name on that forum as well.

Did you change your email address from a normal server (such as your ISP) to a public account like yahoo/gmail/hotmail or the like?  A lot of forums will zap accounts on public free mail servers, due to abuse.

What kind of error do you get when you try to login?

Do you still have access to your old email?

Tried a password reset?

Could be any number of things, need more details about what 'would not let me back in' means.

Try emailing Ira Agins: iagins (at) yahoo.com.  He pretty much runs the IBA forum.

This is what I get on the forum page.  My email account switched when my provider sold out.  I have used comcast (my provider)for over a year with no problems.  Old email is gone.  The forum won't let me in at all.  No log in, no changes.

Most forum software can be setup to require you authorize the change of your email address, from the OLD address.  I'd guess that's the problem.

Gonna have to get a hold of an admin to fix that I think.

I believe you do, and it has to be witnessed by a Police officer, Fireman or other public official.

Yep, I stood in front of a mirror with a clock in the background.  The clock was a bit confusing since it appeared to be going backwards.

Looks like you will get penalized a few points for the backwards clock.

Excellent. Now just send all that in to them and with luck in 9 months you will get a official IBA mouse pad-backer.  Thumbsup
