I'm seriously considering buying a new FJR in the near future. Given the number of dealerships that are closing or downsizing, there must be deals to be had. Does anyone know of any specific dealerships that are selling cheap? Has anyone recently gotten a particularly good deal on a new FJR lately?

Try this (left over new 2008's):

and others on the FJR specific forums.  Always used deals floating out there.

D & H Cycle Inc

18115 US Highway 31
Cullman, AL 35058-0200

Talk to Gerald or Rene. If he has a FJR, it will be at a price hard to beat. If you don't buy one from him you can get YES ( Yamaha 4 year extended warranty) from them for $389.

Maybe not new but not a bad deal, and somewhat local

AE models are much cheaper because most people want a traditional manual transmission.

I just bought a new 2009 FJR1300A a few weeks ago and I paid $14,100 OTD with our high sales tax and licensing fees.  I think the bike before all the fees was high 12's... $12,700 or so.  I don't know if that's a great deal or not... the standard FJR1300 is so hard to find at dealers, I just grabbed one while I still could.  I am not aware of another standard FJR1300 for sale in the Southern California area.  The Concours 14 is easy to find, but finding a new FJR proved tough for me.

My dealer said that fewer 2010 models will be made that they don't think they'll be giving great deals on them.  I know that's already the case for Harley and other makes with 2010 models on the floor already.  They are getting fewer bikes, because production has adjusted for the crap economy, so they won't have huge stocks of leftover bikes.  Also remember that MSRP has gone up for 2010 by what... 700 bucks?  I'm glad I got my 2009 (and the black on black scheme is the best so far IMO)

Hmmm. Expired before I got to it.

A local dealer's neighbor has a used FJR for sale. I don't know a thing about it yet, though.
