Looks like I'm going to have an opportunity for an overnight trip to the Sylamore section of the Ozark National Forest (between Mtn View and Mtn Home).

It looks like most people stay at Blanchard Springs campground.  Would anyone recommend that (or not)?  What about Buffalo Point?

I'll mostly stick with paved roads, but I'll probably explore some gravel roads.  Do I need to worry about hunters if I stick to numbered roads?

Anyone want to head out there in late October?

Yes you do have to worry. Just look for paint on the trees - orangish means no hunting.

I live in north Mississippi, reasonably close to Memphis.  Right now I'm leaving mid-morning Tuesday October 19 and returning early evening Wednesday October 20.  I plan to ride a mix of paved and dirt roads (nothing gnarly).
