Anybody have a source for a can of blue spray paint to match an '05?
Thanks.

Thanks.
FYI-The cost of the 3 part spray paint is around $100.00. More if primer is added.

Not cheap - but if you want it to match I think they're your best bet.  I've never had to purchase this kinda stuff before.  I just remember seeing the Colorrite ad in my moto magazine every month.

If you're thinking about repairing a panel, might be easier and not much more $$ to just get a whole new part.  Or are you wanting to paint an accessory you're bolting on like hard luggage?

You are correct.
It won't cost that much more to replace the entire left side cowling.

If you've got to repaint a V-Strom, there's only one choice: Bedliner!  Lol

Though I have to say, I love that dark blue that the '05s came with.  I wish mine were that color, but I took what I could get at the time: red.

But if you're intent on getting it back to stock, then absolutely, just get a new part.  I wouldn't mess with repainting unless new parts were no longer available.  The V-Strom is still in production, so the parts are out there.  Make it easy on yourself.  Smile

Riding a motorcycle is perfectly safe.  And if I'm wrong, may my body be horribly crushed and mangled somehow.
