Breakin for MG bikes!

Ok, I’m considering buying a new Norge 1200. I love the style have read some pretty good reviews on it. I’ve only owned Jap bikes and one HD (Sportster) and I keep seeing posts that the MG is like no other bike in the world. So, given that it is like no other bike in the world how should I break this puppy in? Should I “ride it like I stole it”, or break it in nice and easy? Maybe a mixture of both?
My apologies if there has already been a post on how to break in a Moto Guzzi.

The nigusil cylinders pretty much break themselves in, but I'd go a little easy to spare the bottom end of the motor.

How many miles an I expect out of this motor if I take care of it? I know tough question. I've seen over 100K on some Kawasaki's.

not so much only just for break-in, but if you're used to short-shifting your H-D, you'll need to change your habits. Keep highway revs above 3,500 rpm and you'll be just fine (you don't have to always use top gear).
You can expect well over 100K miles on your Guzzi (knowing that any motorcycle can be thrashed in less than 10K miles if you really work at it).

Daniel, Why don't you tell him how many miles you have on your Cali?

Get yourself on over to the
V11 LeMans site
...there is a wealth of information there.
I'm so jealous.
