who wants the nightster?  that puppy's on the chopping block.  I love it too, but i think i've moved on to a younger more athletic version of itself  Lol

If you can, you should keep the Nightie.  It is so different.  Plus chicks dig it.

Remember, you can have too few bikes, but never too many.

I'm in love, seriously.  I should have bought this bike years ago.  smooth, comfortable, flickable, power...oh the power.  Not quite up there with literbikes but the thing pulls like nobody's business.  front wheel comes up WAY too easy in 1st and 2nd.

Yep!  Welcome bro!

Nice, Steve.  Now go find out what the "grounding" issue is and fix it before it gets you.  Dealer said they'd addressed all the TSBs on the one my buddy bought.  Ooopsie.  Talk about wonky presentation.  All the lights came on and stayed on when the key was turned off and removed from the bike and it wouldn't start with the key in and on (for those looking out for duh moments to point out).  Fun.

Ouch!

Some people would buy a Pontiac. Not me, but I get that people buy these things (bikes or whatever) for pleasure, and that pleasure is in the eye of the beholder.

Maybe a little edition one.  But the rest of their fleet was mass produced.

What you are getting with a Buell is a limited production bike.  They only shipped a total of 14,000 bikes last year, I think.  So there aren't that many around.  It will be interesting to see what the collector market for these in a few years looks like.

Pontiac G8 w/ the 361hp V8 is sweet.  Heck yeah I'd buy that if it was 50% off MSRP like the Buell 1125 bikes.

Just got back from Barb's HD in NJ.

XB9SX $7931  (they have three of them)

There were 3 other Buell's, all sold.  The 2 XT's had prices listed of just under $9000.

For the guys that have picked the Buell's up cheap, what's the salesmans attitude like?  Do they comment about getting them off the floor, are they kind of snide about the sale?  Just curious.

erm...little help on this one?  i can cut and solder and weld so long as aluminum's not involved in this issue.

wow i got a hell of a deal then, mine wasn't that much out the door, even with the 5 yr extended warranty Bigok

Same as my usual experience walking into a HD dealer, pleasant all the way around.  quick to get a sales rep who leave me alone if i say i want to poke around some.  Said i wanted the Uly, didn't have the X but a couple XT's left.  He kept talking up the bikes saying it's a shame they went under because it's the best performance for the money, great tech, yada yada.  No condescending attitude toward buell's whatsoever.  answered every question i had with knowledge and anything he didn't know he found out within 5 minutes.  as i said, my usual HD dealer experience.

Damn, so tempting.

Dealers in the Los Angeles area are taking the $5k off of list, but adding $700-$1000 for 'freight and setup'.

So a Lightning is about $6600otd.
An 1125CR is $8500otd.

tax: 437
inventory tax 15
freight: 395
prep (non negotiable): 275  This actually really pissed me off because i just had to go out there today and have them tighten down the mirrors.  I refused to do it myself since i just paid out the @ss for it.

Ok, I pick up mine later this week.   I told my dad about it, and he wanted one.  So I found him a red 1125cr at a dealer about an hour away.  They wanted $7400+ fees.  I talked them down (a bit of work with these guys) to 6695 OTD + PA sales tax (this was in MD, and they didn't do PA tax there for some reason.)

Basically what it took was this, I said:  "The 1125cr MSRP is 11,695.  Take the $5k Harley is giving you off, and You've got $6,695.  He will buy today if you sell for that plus tax only."

Mine I'll have to drive further, but got for 6795 total with tax included.  But I wanted a CR in black.   Had another dealer that wouldn't budge below $7100+fees because "It's the last one."

We took my dad's home today, and he is just as giddy as I am.  I wish I had mine now!
