Harley & MV Augusta part company--Buell ends production
«
on:
November 06, 2009, 05:16:35 PM »
I have searched, manufacturers, under Buell, Harley and Other, but no notice can I find. Has this been discussed? Does anybody care?
In my latest Inside Motorcycles --November, 2009, p. 14 has an article on page 14, Buell ceases production, which then goes on to report that Harley plans to divest itself of the MV Agusta acquisition, and is looking for a buyer. Apparently their plans to expand into Europe are being put on hold for moment.
Unfortunately the web site does not have the current issue up.
http://www.insidemotorcycles.com/
I had thought that Buell represented a different direction for Harley, as did the MV Agusta merger...
What gives?

Not aware it's happened yet, only that they wished to sell MV. Maybe the Castiglione's will buy it back at a discount?

It is not sold yet. I don't believe I said it was, only that Harley is definitely looking for a buyer.

Not only has this been discussed, but it also results in forum drama because I moved some of the threads to the Buell forum...as if no one would EVER find them there or sumpin'.
