Im actually considering moving some of my V-Twin love to the Guzzi line
Buell got money for  5 bikes out of me before they ate two scoops of stupid.
The world needs More V-Twins
Hand me that Norge

Now I agree with you Brad (did I really type that?!?!)! I'm looking at the Guzzis as well.

Test ride one - you may find you still prefer the more instantaneous power hit and lighter weight of the Buell.

I have tried to talk myself into the new one but cant look it in the eye.

I would do a Ulysses again if I knew parts would be available.

I was looking over some old posts and I thought I would pipe up.   I sold my Uly and bought a 2008 MG Norge.  I love the weather protection, the adjustable windscreen is awsum, the ABS brakes are great and the look and ride of the bike are really great.  The engine runs really well and does not exhibit the problems the Uly had as far as slow speed smoothness.  Both bikes have about the same vibration factor.  The Uly pulls harder from lower engine speeds but the MG revs to 8000 RPM.  Both are really wonderful bikes.  I am not sorry I bought the MG.  I would not go back to the Buell because of the wind protection factor and the non availability of ABS brakes.

The other thing they really have in common is when you stop somebody will always ask you who makes Buell or who makes Moto Guzzi?

Motto Guzzi has my interest as well.  I think their V-Twin arrangement makes he most sense as it puts the two jugs right in the airstream and keeps them both cool at the same temps.

But why the valve inspections?

Plus, I live in SoCal and I don't even know where the Guzzi dealers are!  LOL!

What are you refering to when you say "valve Inspections"  Do you mean valve adjustments.  They don't have hydraulic lifters so you need to do adjustments periodically.  Takes all of about 15 minutes max on my Norge.

So easy a cave man can do it..... so can I!

I'vve got a '08 1200 Sport, a naked Norge, that I bought new in late '09. It' got 20K miles on and is now  well sorted. It had a few issues, it seems that's common with a lot of the new Guzzi's, it's a build quality thing. In the USA you can count the good dealers on one hand. Kinda like Buell in that regard.

Rogue, check out GuzziTech, there in Socal and porvide great support to the Guzzi Community: http://forum.guzzitech.com/
