so i took the bike out for the first round of longer miles and found the tall windscreen doesn't work so well for me. It's putting turbulent air right at my helmet causing a LOT of buffeting/unpleasant wind noise.
I'd rather have no wind protection at the helmet and have laminar flow than have my ears ring for (right now) two days afterward. Ear plugs are cheaper, but i like smooth air. Has anyone else had issues with this besides me? how'd you solve it? put on the standard uly screen? adjust the taller screen's angle with home-made grommits. extend the screen higher with some bar stock? All ideas i've had, but i'd like to get someone's thoughts on the subject before getting creative.

Sounds like you need the Mastad or palmer bracket. Never tried it but this maybe a winter project for my X

I've read a lot of good reviews on ADV.

I put the palmer brackets on my Uly which has a tall windscreen, I LOVE it. It's actually better than the medium California Scientific. I'd recommend either that one or the MadStat. The big difference is you can use the standard Buell windscreen with the Palmer setup. When you use the Madstat brackets, you also must use his windscreen.

I put a tank bag on mine and it helped a ton. Seems alot of air turbulance is from the bottom.
