Does nayone have the crappy plastic screws for FJR windscreen?
«

So the other day I noticed that the black plastic screws that hold the windshield to the contol arms for the "up & down" electric mode windshield were loose.
In tightening them up, I over torqued one of the screws and the head broke off!
Local Yamaha dealer did not have them in stock, and would have to order. Just wondering if anyone had an extra one they could spare for a brother FJR owner?
Here is the hpyerlink to bike bandit:

It will be part #3 if that helps.

Check Cycle Gear. I was in there the other day and they had a 10 pack for about $5.

never use more than two fingers on the screwdriver when gently tightening them.
They are supposed to strip easily and come out in the event of a get-off so the shield does too.

If they're just a standard #2 pan headed phillips you can probably find something close enough at an ACE Hardware, Lowe's, or Home Depot. They all have specialty fasteners where you can find plastic and all kinds of other hardware.

Yeah, my new name should be "Ima Dumbass" because in playing around with some old screws I had left over from a BMW, the fit perfectly into the assembly. Who knew?

I would net replace them with stainless screws. They are designed to let go in an accident.
