I'm gonna break out my '80 YZ465 and remind myself just how terrifying a big bore smoker is.And I'm looking for just the right CR500 for a dual sporter.I actually considered selling the CRF450 yesterday and finding a KTM 380 after watching Red Bull's Last Man Standing on Speed.Nah not gonna happen but I want a 380 just for fun in the woods.

I didn't believe it either, but a friend who used to have a 380 claims the 300 is better everywhere except top end, and even that is close?

I wish all my other bikes were as easy to work on as my KX. Hell, to change a plug on my CRF I got to take off the seat, and the tank just to get to the damned thing.  Rolleyes

I do too on my CR, but changing the piston took a whole 2 hours...very easy. Plus it cost a whopping $140. I'm not sure I'll jump the four stroke off road band wagon yet.

Bought an RC30 and needed to pay for it. Ended up selling the RC30 because I couldn't justify having that much money tied up in a vehicle that would depreciate by thousands of dollars with a couple of rock chips (it was museum quality) and didn't have the money for either extra plastic or 17" rims. But I can say I've owned and ridden an RC30, which makes me happy. Lol I went through a rare Honda phase and also had an NC30 and an NC35. This was all before a serious back injury and at a time when my income was significantly higher than it is now. At the time I almost bought a street legal and licensed under its own VIN Aprilia RS250 that had been kitted to 318cc. It was a rocket but I decided against it in the end. I love bikes like that and someday, maybe, I'll be able to dabble again.

jay, i don't moto like i use to. the last time i was at LTM was 3 years ago. i mostly race at motosports park in byron ill. only 85 miles. only 1 1/2 hours to get there. i have never ben to Salem but i believe a lady named Nadean dose the scoring.
had a bad crash last April when i grabbed to much throttle and skied the bike off a jump. let go of it 15 to 20 feet in the air. cant be leave i walked away from that one. the body was sore for like 3 weeks. when your 50 you just don't bounce back like when i was younger.
i only raced 3 times last year. but this year i plan on doing more racing.

what part of Oklahoma are you from? me, the n/w suburbs of chicago.

one track i have always wanted to go to was "cooperland" in stillwater O.K.
