ST.N rules say no threads with the intent of bashing a single member.

How about bashing the whole group of (possibly former) Buell owners who rag on the 1125's pods in nearly every thread they post in.

 Lol

Nah, just fukkin' wit ya!

Nah, just the result of too many status and conference calls - a goofy sequel to the "bashing brad" post.  Lol

I don't care what people say, I'm proud of my pods!

Podism?

"Podism" would be the the term used to describe the practice of adhering to the beilefs about the claimed functionality of the pods.

"Podophobe" would be a term used to describe a person who fears the pod.

"Podiatrist" Would be a term used to describe somebody who repairs and services pods.

"Podunk" would be a term used to describe somebody who states the pods work great and look cool.

"Podaphilia" You don't want to know about. Lets just say it involves close contact between the rider and the pod.

While there is no cure, the treatment is 100 miles of twisty backroads.  Repeat as often as necessary.

Guys, there is the IGNORE function.

Those of you getting tired of Brad's BS, just hit his ignore button and you will never hear from him again.  Then he'll just be talking to himself and that is probably a good thing.   Thumbsup

Pods..........

You need to realize sometimes in life you run into "indications" in this case pods that are indicators of other things.

The "pods" by themselves could be considered fairly benign to those without an attention for detail, but as aBuell loyalist it was a warning light on the dashboard.  The pods represented a bike rushed to market on the cheep.  Incorporating parts from a 2003 air-cooled design bike with a few bolt ons to accommodate the dream engine.

The importance of getting THAT bike right was clearly understood by people that had been waiting for the Buell evolution.  Those that survived years of jokes for poor power when we knew we held an incredible bike.

sounds simple take two great ingredients

1. The best handling bike in the world
2. Engine from Rotax, best in the world

and

Buell screws it up by trying to save a dime.

That engine deserved some a bike with some attention to detail, some design, and some quality control.

What we have now is a laughing stock that sells for $5,000 new and may have a trade in value of $2,500

It was to be a V-Twin lovers dream

What you have now is a list as long as an arm of things you must check or you will be stranded on the side of the road due to some stupid part failure.  Thats what the pods represent.

If you need Palin explained, we will have to go to off topic.  This is a Buell specific area.  I had a lot invested in that brand.

FYI, my IQ is 138 and I test 10 out of 10 in shapes in personality testing.  I don't have to see clutch fluid shoot three feet to know there is a problem.  The pods were the warning light on the dashboard

I work in design and marketing.  This was an easy one to spot for me. Yes I think what the pods represented and the following press killed the name.  Another sad day for Americans that should never have happened.
