What are you so scared of that you need something like that? Why do you hate America?

Not scared of anything.
Ive grown up with guns, since I was little. This is a good 200 yard target plunker. Cheap"er" ammo, than most semi-auto rifles.
I actually care for the styling, I like that its a single polycarbonate housing. And the breakdown of the rifle is drop dead simple.

I don't know hue much the ammunition is for that, but I would guess that it's pretty expensive. I was looking atva FS2000 the other day and it is very nice. I liked the front eject, and it's chambered in 5.56.

If you get one you can then run around and play "Stargate". Seriously though, its got a weird caliber, and unless you could have it in full auto it's a pretty expensive semi-auto for self defense. Unless you like to collect, then it's always worth having.

If you are looking for a fun little gun and money is not a big deal this is a great option. Good fun gun to shoot with almost no recoil, quieter than any other bullpup I have shot. Ejects brass where it should-down. Not as popular as an ar or ak. More expensive than those as well. Ammo is about the same cost as bulk 5.56. I sold mine when prices jumped up around election time last year. Made some money. The ps90 was a cool gun. Honestly if you painted the end red you could carry it around and people would think it was a toy. Only trouble I ever had was feed issues with a partial mag, when moving the gun around. The shells start to turn a little and get slightly jammed where they turn. Not a big deal, I attributed it to weak mag spring in a used 50 round mag. 5.7 round is awesome and really zings off of steel targets, or indoor range backstop, although a little expensive, and sometimes hard to find. Comes apart easier than an AR, easier to clean than an AR.
There are other cheaper options, but these are cool.

The gun is $1500, and the ammo is the same price as 223 if you can find it, and you want one because it's cheaper?

I didn't realize the rifle was that cheap. That's about even with a mediocre quality AR-15. If the ammunition costs about the same, I don't see why you shouldn't get it.
I've been looking at a lot of rifles lately. The only bullpups I've considered are the Steyr Aug and the FS2000. The Steyr was eliminated due to the location of the ejection port. The FS2000 seems pretty nice. I overlooked the PS90 due to it's calibre. I think I have my choice nailed down to a Sig 556.

Newsflash: Once you get above about $1200 for an AR-15, you're just paying extra for the logo they engraved on the lower.

I sold mine last November for $1850. Then turned around and bought 2 CMMG AR15s with the money. Waited another couple months and sold one of the ARs for a nice profit. I see tonight that Sportsmans Guide has 5.7 on sale $189 for 500 rounds. That is less than I was paying last year.

$1200 will get you a base model AR from most of the manufacturer's that sell their rifles at Walmart or Big R. They are decent enough rifles, just not on the same level as some of the smaller machine shops that build them. After owning five ARs, I'm just not really a big fan of them either way.

You might also look into a 5.45x39 AR or a Tantal AK74. Ammo was scarce for a few months but it is available again. You can get 1080 rounds for $189.

I agree and disagree at the same time. I have had a $800 Bushmaster Carbon 15 that was a great shooter, and a $1600 Colt that gave me some trouble. The colt was worth more broken than the Bushy. Now I have a S&W in 5.45 and a CMMG in 5.56. Both are great shooting guns, the CMMG I have is their bottom of the line, but they make some of the best ARs. It is all about how much you want to spend and what you are doing with it.

I hate to not disagree with you. I've had some good shooting ARs that were around $900. It's that I'm in the market for something in 5.56 with a specific "mission" in mind. I can't find an AR set up the way I want under $2000. One of the problems is that I find them very uncomfortable ergonomically, so I'd have to change out the grip and stock.
Well, this is a nice threadjack. That price for 5.7 ammunition is pretty damn good, I'd have thought it would be much higher.

You should be able to buy a complete upper (in most any caliber) and lower, and equip with whatever barrel, stock, and grip you want for well under $2000...

I just priced out an AR how I would want it set up (minus optics). It comes out to $2239.50.
