Through the years witnessing friends lose fathers, I have always given this information with hopes that it cheers them up somewhat.  I was a year and 5 months old when my father died.  I never got to know him.  I don't remember him.  I have no memories with him, no playing ball, no learning to ride a bike from him, no going to for advice about girls, no riding motorcycles with him.  You are very fortunate to have had your father for as long as you did.  I envy that.  Breathe in those memories, hold onto them, and tell your children's children all about the man you called dad.  Please take great care of yourself.
