Funny how when your busa is ugly its purposefull and when its the 1125r its a styling disaster. I never said I couldn't tell them apart I said that even most guy's who know bike's, and I stick with that without looking at them up close its hard to tell one from the next driving by. A Buell can be spotted a mile away even if you hate the looks. I see you get your reliability statements from forums, how about using warranty claims which has been down for Buells since the launch of xb's. Arguing DSB rules with you is pointless, I don't think you can understand the logic in it . Just like I'm sure you hate 1125RR's for superbike. It won't matter what you think, EBR will likely be in AMA next year in both classes and I'll be a fan of motorcycle racing with or without Buell's. But the 1125r & RR make the paddock's that much more exciting and interesting to watch. I'll be looking for that ruthless 40k a yr busa guy at the races LOL. Your not very credable, sounds like you got an axe to grind.

Are you for real? You sound like a 2 year old. If you've got a beef w/ Brad, don't waste people's time by taking up bandwith w/ your petty grievences. Why would you care about Brad's opinion anyway? He has his views and apparently you don't them. So what.... get over it!!!

+1 Agreed. I don't agree with all his views, but he is entitled to them.

Why make it private? As long as it stays in hand it's much more fun in a public forum. I'll trade whodom's jar of unicorn farts to keep this one going a while.
I just bought a 2010 1125R with the fairing sides. I should get it on Monday, and the sides need to be sprayed white 'cause they only come in black. I reckon they are drop dead gorgeous. I haven't been a huge fan of the CR but the looks are growing on me. The 2010 white with black tail looks hot in the flesh.
The day will come when we don't even remember they were controvertial, because so many other bikes will have copied them.
There is no demise. I just bought a collector's item for a song.
I've had 4 Laverdas, and they just kept going up in value to the point where I probably couldn't afford to buy back any of my old bikes. Can't see Buells going any different.

.........
So are they "controversial", I mean "collectible" because of the mechanical failing or the the comical design?
If you really want to make me jealous you should buy a few more.
I agree they appear collectible the dealers were stock piling them up like crazy.

I just received my 2010 Buell catalogue in the mail yesterday with a cover letter from HD Canada about Buell's demise.
I think I'll keep the catalogue, see if it's worth anything when I'm 80.

all the AMC's are collector's items now. Not as sought after as many of the other cars of the era...but there's a niche market for them, much like there's a niche market for buell. According to the HD dealer, only engineers buy them...haha. i love being a stereotype

ah but you also ride a motorcycle...and it's a harley, so the ladies will swoon, doors will open and beer will pour forth from the heavens as you approach your destination with choirs of angels singing praise for your awesomitude.
whereas in the corolla you're just another dude with a 9-5

it happens regularly when i'm on the harley, you have a dissimilar experience on yours? must be because it's the 883
actually the logical explanation for my experience would be more like this. Leaving bar number 12 while cruisin' with the pirates, the ladies shriek in fright at our fake beards, rub on tattoos and missing teeth, doors are smashed through in a drunken haze after swerving off the road leaving the bar taps as the inanimate object in my path, resulting in spilled beer gushing upon my bloody do-ragged head as sirens approach shortly behind.
...but still awesome because i'm on a harley instead of any other marque worldwide
it's all in how you tell the story

not sure about the pacer. but on a gremlin X you could get a 401 V8. dont think you could order that with the pacer.. i happen to love the way both of the bikes in question look.. although would probably take the buel... Vtwin sound. and now a collectors item.. LOL.. somthing the busa will probably not be for along time to come.

Busa will never be collectable, too ugly and mass produced. In fact if you think of what bikes are they are often rolling art.
