I like the last line in the article... "Something to remember next time your throttle hand feels twitchy"

This is what a left turning car who pulled out in front of a motorcycle looked like after the bike hit it at 65 mph, about 20 mph over the speed limit and a speed achievable probably on any bike with more than 125 ccs. The rider and the driver both died.

Hate to say the driver dying is good but........

I suppose it's good for newblings to see such photographs and read such accounts, but I think the second photograph and account posted by 1moreroad is far more effective. 'This is what happens when you fuck up at
near-legal speeds
. You don't need to be going ludicrous speed to spread yourself and other people over a small area. Pay attention, don't be an asshat.'

Say that to the family of the driver of the car in the first post (red compact) that didn't do a damn thing wrong.

Uh, you're suggesting hitting a car at speed won't hurt?
Staged or not, the point's the same: "Death is nature's way of saying don't be an asshat".

Ahhhh, check. I'm not stupid, I'm just uninformed (there's a fine line there). I was a little curious how they managed to clean all the blood and guts up to display it without removing the bike.
We should turn this over to myth busters to see if this is really what the outcome looks like.

Perhaps posting photos of cars that have run down motorcycles would be more appropriate.

Someones undoubtedly gonna have an internet coronary but which photo do you believe is staged?
The one with a backstory and Swedish police report, or
The one of the car on fire in the middle of the intersection and small plastic pieces all over the road?
Let's assume for a moment that the stupid class speed photo WAS staged, how do you think they got the bike in there with all the associated damage to the car? a cannon? As for the lack of human ramains, it was on display at a motorcycle expo, of course they cleaned it, more likely however, is the probability that the rider simply went over the roof and about 50 yards down the road.
Having been an EMT, I can personally attest to the damage a bike will do to a rollerskate car like that. I worked one in Phoenix about 8 years ago. Ducati vs. Suzuki Samurai. Estimated bike speed 140, driver side impact, both dead, rider was literally in pieces.

You gotta love the cases where a coroner is called and told to bring a scoop shovel.
And it wouldn't be hard at all to propel a bike to high speed without a rider. Hell, you wouldn't even need the engine on.

Take a walk behind any good sized bike shop and look at all the destroyed bikes waiting for insurance companies to total. That still to this day slows me down....at least for a few days.

My cousin was killed when he was 20 by a Blazer pulling out in front of him. He was going a little over the speed-limit, and the blazer did not see him. I dont put the blame on anyone, but it makes clear the fact that we all need to pay more attention when we are riding/ driving.
