Being in Sacramento I'm not uber-close, but I'm close enough to do some recon in Ukiah for suds and sleeps for the meet if it's needed. I could use a day away anyway.

From the Mendocino brewery, you have a number of lodging options. With in .2 miles you have the Hampton Inn, motel 6, and a few others. I like this option as it's on the south end of town by the airport, and it's not as crowded as the north end.

But... Looks like the Mendocino Brewery's Ukiah location is only a manufacturing plant, and that their "pub" is in Hopland CA.
Ukiah Brewing Co.
seems to be the restaurant/pub we should target then...

You could be right, I just did a quick look at the address listed, to see the motels and such.

I just checked rates at this place, and a double queen room is $45/night on the weekend of May 21-23. That's cheaper than a cabin at the Riverwalk campground, and about half the price of the Fortuna hotels. About .2 miles form the pub.
Another option in the Ukiah brew pub area is about .4 miles away,
http://www.sunriseinn.net/coupon.html
. No online rates, but the coupon indicates $50/night for 2 beds.

This is just FYI/FWIW if out near Fortuna on other trips:
Fortuna does have a motel that charges $45-$65 day although I've
never been there. It's a mom and pop motel with kitchens. No clue
if all the rooms have kitchens:
www.sixriversmotel.com
Humboldt Gables Motel in Rio Dell (south of Fortuna) has rates that
start at $55 although there's no brewery. Mingos Sports Bar is just
south of that motel. Maybe 3-4 blocks or so. Haven't been to those
two places. Stopped at the Shell for gas across road from motel in
2008, and it looked pretty nice:

30 minutes from the house....guess ill have to go. Tons of dual purpose riding around here for those inclined. We have cow mountain OHV, Mendocino national forest, a sweet little road that will take us all the way to Williams on dirt from Nice, Low Gap Rd out of Ukiah will get you over to 128 via Compche Ukiah Road, and many gorgeous paved roads.

My wife was already sold on Ukiah as it will give us more time to hit Napa/Sonoma on the way to/from.
Since we have the vacation time scheduled, we'll do our own WCRM where we meet ourselves there.

I'm sure you are safe there...I was just having fun with the location as Eureka when people really mean Fortuna.
At least in the past people would say Eureka and they meant Fortuna. Maybe this time they are serious.

FYI: Comfort INN was less expensive (AARP) rate and Holiday INN
Express what way out of my budget.........
Hope to see you at the parking lot gathering honoring all the Canadians for their fine contributions to this endeavour.
