Next thing they will tell us its a fixed menu and what beer they will serve us. Crazy

There is the North Coast Brewery in Eureka I believe, however it does involve a short ride which may not be a good idea. Burnout

Since there's a  no animal rule some of us may not gain entry this year.

It sounds like only points 3 and 4 are the ones they feel we should be concerned with.  Now if only they had numbered the list.  I think we all knew we shouldn't be bringing in outside libations, we just didn't care.  So I think the important thing to note, is hide your stuff better.  Oh and don't leave the empty bottles on the table.

I don't know...you should be concerned about all of the rules.  The second one is important as it might make your cost higher if some people don't go.  It might also be a problem if way more people show up than it is reserved for.

The 3rd and 4th rule really shouldn't need to be rules.  Not sure why people would think its ok to bring in their own food and booze into a restraunt.   Headscratch

Special dietary restrictions?  A desire for a better vintage than what is on hand.  Ever hear of a corkage fee?

Then again, the question is coming from someone who is still pushing for Ukiah!  Twofinger

No you just need to pour them into an empty pitcher so they can't tell.  I guess we can do that with scotch and soda too, I'm sure it'd look almost like beer.

Now, keep in mind, if the list were numbered... #3 would be the outside food/drink.  #4 is the exclusion of "illegal substances".  I can't say I saw any illegal substances, so does that mean no non-DOT helmets?  And if you have a prop 215 card, then some of the other substances are ok as long as you wear a DOT helmet?

If you have special dietary needs then you either don't eat at the restraunt as they don't have what you need or you just don't go as they don't have what you need.  This applies to any restraunt you go to so this isn't something new or anything.

As to a corkage fee...the place isn't a banquet hall or anything.  And not all places that do gathering offer a corkage fee because they have inhouse chiefs and want you to buy from them.

Jesus...you guys act like you are 15 and never been to a restraunt.   Rolleyes

I really don't know how to respond to this posting.  Should I respond on a culinary level?  On a humanitarian level?  On a grammatical level?  Or simply explain to the poster that "restraunt" is not a word level?

Can't help you with the spelling...but perhaps those who think a restaurant should allow outside food because someone has a special "dietary" restriction really needs to stop thinking the world revolves around them.

Enough with what?

You guys are the ones bitching and moaning about some rules that were placed on the gathering due to other people's inability to respect the establishment.

The couple years I went there we never had an issue.
