Wow, nice web app.  It's showing only 85 Uly's and 89 Uly XT's left in the US!

"1277 Buells left in USA" as of this morning.
"40 Buells left in PA" - and only 1 CR in the state.

Fascinating

Seems the HD dealer in Mentor, OH (suburb of Cleveland) is sitting on a half dozen CRs plus a bunch of other stock. Not a bad drive for a good deal (no idea on pricing).

What an awesome service. EVERY MFG should have this service available to the public.

Way to go, Harley/Buell. See? THAT is customer-focused service. Yeah, yeah... I know... "we need to get rid of these" was the mandate, but come on... tell me this wouldn't be an AWESOME service for every MFG?

Mancuso Crossroad (Houston, TX) has/had a Firebolt last week and several 1125s. Some of the 1125Rs had the "Side Fairing Kits" installed on them.

My brother lives nearby.  He tells me that they're not offering deals 'cause Buells are now 'collectors items'.  Not sure how long that'll last.

mancuso still has the slash and burn pricing on buells.  any dealer who says they're a collector's item is full of shit, throw the HD subsidy in their face and see what they say about it.

Some of the trustworthy/knowledgeable folks on badweb who work at HD/Buell dealers say that the figures aren't to be relied on 100%. Apparently it shows as available bikes that have been delivered and sold in many instances. It's probably accurate for those dealers hanging on to bikes to supply the rush of collectors.

Well I figured they didn't have trackers on the Buells and that the inventory listed is only semi-accurate.  Like was said earlier, it's a cool application, and it's too bad that the first manufacturer to provide a "live" inventory like this, is a manufacturer that is pretty much dead.

Last time I was there, their prices were higher than other dealers.  I made them a fair offer on a 1125R, which they did not accept.  I bought one the next day for $500 less than my offer at another dealer.

I called on both of the Uly's left in NY months ago and they didn't budge on the price, thus they are still available.

So, with dealers holding-out for MSRP, are they pocketing the $5000 dealer cash that Harley was supposedly handing out to dealers for each Buell sold?  Or, hadn't I heard that dealers had to sign something saying they would support Buell warranties (and/or the 7-year support policy), in order to qualify for the $5000 dealer cash?  In that case, the dealers holding out for MSRP are the dealers that will not support your bike after they have sold all of their Buells, is that correct?

Nah, I can't see HD turning their back on Buell customers.  HD is an above board company.

Hmm... sounds like there is/was some misinformation circulating on the web regarding the incentive amounts and dealer support.  I could have sworn that only certain Buell dealers will become authorized Buell service centers, while others will just drop the line entirely.

In this market MSRP would be too high on any bike.  Not to mention one going out of business.

I'm calling around.  For every Buell Brad doesn't buy, I'll pick up two  Bigok

Anyway, the most depressing thing about this app is that I've found models from 2006.  TWO THOUSAND AND SIX!  That's.....really bad.

Shame the 1125CR isn't better suited for 2-up.

That wasn't the point of the bike. My daughter enjoys our jaunts around town two-up on it. But I have to tell you, the bike really handles differently two-up. I'm not a fan of the two-up on it either. I would rather ride it solo, but then I have bikes built for two-up and so I have the luxury of using the right tool for the right job.

DON'T believe it! I've called multiple dealers who the app claims to have 2006 and 07 models, thinking I might be able to get a deal for my wife, but none of them had those bikes. Seems that it's all in how the paperwork was done. Buell/HD says they have bikes that were probably traded to other stores at some point, but the paperwork wasn't done correctly, so Buell/HD thinks they still have them.

I don't blame you! I've ridden both and they both rock! if a dealer wouldn't move on the price and it was at MSRP already, but I was able to get a better deal on the Triple, I would have done the same. They both are great bikes, but at least you know Triumph will be there to support you (or at least we think so) ten years from now.

Call up to La Crosse Area HD, they have quite a few Buells left, my buddy and I were just there, and they were working real hard to get him out on the XB9, but I think he finally decided it just isn't a good beginner bike. They were pricing them to move, though!

Which model are you looking at? You got a truck to haul it with?

I got a couple of quotes under MSRP but only by about $1000 with no breaks at all on the various fees and required a bit of a trip for pick up.  Lots of great deals on 1125s and Ulys, but those weren't the bikes I wanted unfortunately.  Having ridden my brother's 1125CR (with both clubmans and now the high bars) I have no regrets about choosing the Striple.

Looking for an 1125, unless I can get a steal on a UlyXT.  No truck, so I'd probably have to pay somebody with a truck to take it the 2 hours to Madison...

I called about a Ulie XT in Texas for $8999 and they wouldn't take a deposit to hold it for a few weeks. Shrug

In all fairness, I wouldn't have either.  1.) It's the end of 2009 - they want this sale on their 09 books 2.) I'm not making a refundable deposit on a limited supply model.  First person with cash wins.

Not too terribly surprising -- the Uly was arguably Buells best bike. They will likely get fill price for em.

Funnest bike I ever owned!

Oh, yeah, I know. I wasn't bitching about it.

I called ready to drop a deposit, sight unseen, dealership unknown, on a bike and they chose not to. Tells me they're expecting to sell it local. Good for them.  Thumbsup

chris, was that mancuso?  I guarantee they plan to sell it locally within the next couple weeks.  however, best laid plans...and all that.  Give them a call when you're ready, there's a good chance they'll give it to you if you're willing to pay 9k for it.

I know when i put down $500 to hold the bike over 4 days they called every single day to get me in there to sign the paperwork before the weekend.  Business has been good for them on those buells now that the price is right and they're no slouch when it comes to HD sales either.

Yes, it was.

Yeah, I can't buy until Feb 5. I can drop a deposit now but can't seal the deal until then.

You may want to call Central Texas Harley in Austin/Round Rock. They had 3 XTs the last time I was in there picking up my Uly (last week).

Cool beans! Smile

I bought my Uly from them in '07, but they kind of missed the market on the sell offs. The sales manager claims he hadn't seen the $5k/$3k paperwork, so he wasn't budging much when I went to look at the 1125CRs, so I used Cowboy Harley across town and they made me an offer that I couldn't refuse.

Are you picking it up, or having it shipped? If you're picking it up, I can put you up and/or pick you up at the airport and get you there.

Baller.  Not to pry or anything, but is the price around $9k?  I'd probably spend 7k on a Uly, but I don't think any are selling that low

Undecided on the details, but I'm definitely going to come get it. I'll either drive down and trailer it back (or ride it back if someone accompanies me down there to drive my car back), or I'll fly-n-ride... in which case I'll definitely take you up on your generous offer. Thanks man!  Thumbsup

8495 plus a few details.

I've wanted one of these (the XT) since they debuted. If all goes well, in a few weeks, I'll have one. Paying cash for it but have to wait until the year-end bonus numbers are official before I go writing checks. I don't wanna dig a hole in the bank account without knowing it's coming back. Thumbsup

Congrats man!  Nothing feels better than getting a great deal on something you want.  My Triumph was an absolute steal, and my favorite (or second favorite - first being my BMW) purchase in life.

Congrats!  I've always enjoyed my time on the Uly's and XT's.  It's the bike I've demo'd the most, something about keeps calling me back.  Ultimately I did'nt think it's different enough from the Multi for me to make the switch.

Can't wait to see it!

When I was last at La Crosse Area HD, they did have a few Ulys, I recall a 2010 XB12X for 7500, I don't think it was listed as 'new' though (in fact, it seemed like none of the buells were listed as new, I don't know if they were factory demo bikes or what...)

Just got a friendly follow-up call from a local Buell dealer.  I asked about their Buell inventory, and they said they have a fair amount of air-cooled Buells left, and have plenty more 1125's on order.  The interesting part is that he said Buell is returning home a whole slew of unsold 1125's from South America and domesticating them for the US.  So, come spring, there should be even more 1125's available, if you can't find one now.

This was Iron Valley, where I had test rode a 1125CR and XB9SX last summer.

Hmmm.... Talking with one of our local Buell guys who works at one of the HD dealerships in town, he said last night that they had a bunch (30) more bikes on order, but that they didn't expect to ever see them. He didn't mention anything about unsold S.American bikes. Interesting if true.
