Maroon, stock but for Zero Gravity tinted shield. Looks flawless. 30-day warranty once season hits. Fit me pretty nice.

Seems quite high - like $1,300 high for RETAIL.

That was my initial thought, BUT if it really only has 2700 miles then the price is correct-ish.  Not even one oil change...

a local dealer has two 06's brand new still on the showroom floor, a 600 and 750.  they still are asking over msrp for each and both showed some wear from being sat on and moved around for over 3 years.  i told the dude good luck, then proceeded to by a nice zrx and bandit for way less than what they wanted for that 600 kat. Wasn't 5200 about what the MSRP was back in 06? Cripes, the MSRP suzuki lists on the plain 08 SV650 is only 5999...

Sorry, I got a little off topic, but I hope I answered your question, and that we all learned something about butterflies in the process.

I just bought it! Paid the KBB/NADA price (way down from asking price), but I really like working with this dealer. Big step up from my 77 GS400! I could've bought a brand new FZ6R for $30/mo more, but 30 is 30 more gas/accessories money and I think it'll take longer to outgrow the bigger bike and it'll be better for distance and 2-up. The riding position is a little more sporting than I'd like, but hopefully I'll get used to it....
