Not your usual kickoff element for such a thread .... eh ?
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1/JimFisher1956/HD11.jpg

Me and Dr. Zorko were talkin long distance like tonight about the Thruxton. We want a cafe racer look. Classic like. You do understand. Thanks

Then Zorkoman sends the above photo and I am like ... hmmm ... hmmm .... what the fek ... that actually works. Zorko has good taste you see?!    Inlove  I hate classic Harleys. I love what works though. That works.  Bigok

I still want a classic cafe racer built round the Thruxton. In fact I can see spending ridiculous amounts of money honey for just the right look. Built by me. For me.

So ... c'mon lets ... play ....... CAFE RACER !!!    Bigok Bigok Bigok

Bored tonight?  Headscratch

No ... on a quest darlin. On a quest.  Cafe bikes .. it came to me ... not during the physical act of love laughingly enough ... but during a visit to my tax accountant. The amazing state in which I find myself gave cause to more than mere rejoice ...Cafe Bikes ... Cafe bikes ... short, light and taught vehicles which mesmerize the senses in wild, short term abandon moments. Yet, like art, steal the focus and forsake other desires by their mere presence and captavating view.

Is that what you meant ?

Comes from here .... http://www.vd-classic.com/EN/realisation.php#

But the potential of the Thruxton is what was really on our minds. A longer tank, a cleaned up end, perhaps dual perforated discs up front, drilled everything, Ohlins oozing from the rear ... ahh .... ohhh .... er ... sorry ... I have to go do THAT again .... be ... uhr ,,, ..eh ... right back ....  Burnout Shrug

I think that .... I cannot find a flaw in that image. Nor your taste in decor. Once again I must ...  acknowledge taste where taste reigns, restraint, where it lends an aspect ... and an audacity that commands respect.  You madam, have my scorecard all .... agitter.

Thanks for the link. So ... here it is in nutshell. A cafe bike has body work ( as in tailpiece ) that sticks out less than the rear tire.

Repeat after me ... no bodywork shall encumber a tire .. nor shall said tire be restricted by said bodywork ...like ...

True cafe bikes have ... well ... duh ... like you just know eh ????
