Anyone aware of any serious issues with the '07 Bandit 1250S compared to more recent years?

I've had mine since April of 2007 and I have not had one single issue with it.

I did see one fellow over at Max-Suzuki that had a fuel pump go bad on it (after the warranty ran out).

I am on that site alot and do not really see people posting with issues on these bikes....

Great, thanks! Haven't made up my mind yet, but considering either a showroom queen asking $7400 or a low-mileage used with a little fall-over damage (small dent in tank, scratches on fairing) asking $3900; still considering a couple Katanas also, insurance rates may make the diff.

My bad, the "new" one is an '08 w/abs asking $7600.

There are some nice Bandits down around NYC if you take a look at CL ...for example: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/1549563676.html

The side stand does not have much detent and they can easily roll of the stand on a slight downhill. So many have the tank dent.. Mine did in my driveway (my previous bike would not) when it was 1 week old. I nearly had a heart attack and then went into depression. They are a great sport touring bike. Will cruise effortlessly at any speed you can stand.

Thanks all. I went for a less-expensive '06 Katana 750... not quite the Bandit, but I think I'm happy. Smile
