Would it be too much trouble to move us to Region 5? We ride the Ozarks around here, not the Great Lakes.

Move Missouri to Region 2! Those of us in Dallas head out to northwestern Arkansas and southwestern Missouri more than anything!

No you can't. Your Missouri arse belongs to us.
But then again, everything has it's price.

I think of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana as sort of its own region.

I brought up rearranging the regions by major riding destinations (e.g., Ozarks, Smokies,
Rockies, Texas
Hill Country) rather than states in the 'What is your region' poll but it didn't generate any discussion.

Texas is a good example of the problem with arranging regions by states rather than destinations: within Texas you have excellent riding in the Hill Country and Big Bend but Dallas and Houston riders come up to the Ozarks while I bet those in the panhandle go to the Rockies of New Mexico.

You're right. We should get rid of the state system, and go off one based on the qualities of the local Sweet Tea.

While we're at it, can we have MN, WI, IL as Region 4a and IN, OH and MI in Region 4b, because nobody in their right mind heads puts a route through Chicago.

Can each state have its own sovereign region?

Nope, only Texas was it's own autonomous sovereign country.
