FWIW, I've had great enjoyment out of camping at Cycle-Moore in Interlochen.  IIRC, there's a motel right across the street.  Yup, it's http://www.camelot-inn.com/

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=44.658182,-85.799012&z=17&t=h&hl=en

The motel is located kitty corner from the campground.

Bath facilities are excellent at C-M.  If given some advance notice, they will set aside a camping section just for us.

Disclaimer: this is just a suggestion.  Ted is going to actually pick the lodging and I'll stay wherever the group goes.

I'll get in (again) for this year.

I hope more of you show up than did with the UP ride last year.  Lol Copper Harbor was lonely with just me and Head sitting around the fire drinking his homemade brew.

Time and place. I am in!

You live soooooooo close to an REI store... stop in and rent a tent, bags, and whatever else you need. It time for you city dwellers to experience the great outdoors..... Inlove

How else are you going to experience the crickets, frogs, birds, snakes, coyotes, wolves, bears......... EEK! Bigsmile

Are you guys gonna trailer your bikes up too?  couch

Love motorcycle camping. This is Twelvemile Beach, on the south shore of Lake Superior.

I've lived with them for 20 years lol, ain't missing much! Actually, it's not that I'm adverse to camping, because I really do love it and the outdoors! I'm just not looking forward to lugging camping gear on a motorcycle (now you may call me a wimp!!!).  Lol
