Home from work. Packing begins. 9AM ferry tomorrow for a leisurely ride in the right direction!

Do I need to bother to get Canadian money when I cross the border?

The exchange rate seems pretty even, maybe a few pennies in my favor. Do businesses, and more importantly our gracious Canadian hosts accept US dollars for payment? If it's a pain in the ass for you, I could easily stop by a Canadian ATM. Just never sure how much to take out. What's the protocol?

It was much more fun last time, a few years back, to check my bank balance on a Canadian ATM...when it was a 20% boost  Wink .

It varies ... but usually after noon.  That gives me time for my prayer sessions, sacrifice and nap. Most folks have learned not to interrupt step 2 of that regimen.  But the smell of Borscht, wafting through the valley, sometimes brings in the crazies a bit early.

Bikes are packed, we'll be out the door *very* shortly!

Radium Hot Springs tonight, Castlegar tomorrow afternoon.  The plan is to arrive *before* evening just for a change, and have a bit more time for visiting.  However, we'll be sure to arrive late enough to avoid the sacrifices Crazy Lol

Looking forward to seeing everyone

Somebody needs to arrive early, or Jim won't have anyone TO sacrifice.  Smile
