Once the sun approached the horizon, the temperatures dropped rapidly into the thirties.  I'd need to be checked into a hotel before the bridges started to freeze.

The Price tower in Bartlesville was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.  It was originally built as a combination of offices and apartments, and is now a nice (nineteen room) hotel.

Start in Ralston and ride west.  Keep riding west, even though the numbered highway turns south after a couple of miles.  The road is paved although you'll want to watch for the rough patches.  It's not likely you'll see any traffic at all.  Eventually (and depending on which way you turn at the unmarked intersections) you'll end up in Ponca City.

ok, i didn't know that was there. i've been that way several times to race mx at ponca but we always turned north and went through fairfax.
