Rode up to Ukiah today.  Was out of time, so no photos.  I guess it could be ok as long as we stay between the Economy Inn and the Ukiah Brew Pub.  There are other options as well, but the further you get from the brew pub, the more disappointing it gets.

Now the .5 trip to Quncy last year....that was a sweet place that had some character.  Ukiah just looked like it was in pain.

There, Fortuna wins.  I voted Ukiah so it would be closer, but I prefer Fortuna.

Verified...30-29...but if the vote is really that close I wonder if it would be worth trying something new and spending a night at each location.

Are we going to have another date poll?   Smile  I think May 22 - 23 won in the last poll.  That's the traditional "weekend before Memorial Day".

Maybe it will be dry this year with the el Nino.

Naw...let's don't.  Eureka won and if there was any way to count the votes of those really planning to attend I hope Eureka still would have won, but with the vote so close and number of members expressing a sincere desire to go to Ukiah its too bad there isn't a way to have a win-win when the locations are so close together.

no more voting. just riding.
actually, why don't we commit to ukiah for next year. now. so we don't have to do this again for 2 years. it is clear that there is interest in a ukiah meet.
katego, for ukiah in 2011.

If we are really serious about letting the ones who attend...decide...then we should set a date and time and vote on the 2011 location at Eureka/Fortuna this year.

SCREW JOB.....Ukiah won the first poll!  What the hell is so sacrosanct about Fortuna?! Unless it was a verifiable tye in the first poll, the first results should have stood.

With that said, I had day rides all ready planned for Ukiah area.  I'll be in Ukiah if any takers wanting to room share, if not....have a nice ride to the "Lost Coast", in the rain!  Twofinger

Oh, yeah.  We're nowhere near done.  I'd say the process is about halfway through...

Actually, Fortuna is just fine with me (although I voted for Ukiah).  I'm going to make hotel reservations!  Is it May 21 yet?   Bigok

Why can't we just all get along??  Bigok

katego had an interesting idea. Worth perusing, I'd say.

However, I would NOT recommend that only the participants of the current meet be allowed to vote on the next year's location (assuming it goes up to vote). That's unfair to the people who normally attend but can't for some reason this year.

Shhhhhhhhh! Don't jinx it!  Lol

I think Bridgeville is still for sale after 6 years... With current land prices, I bet one big STN bake sale ( and some special brownies baked by Ken) we could finally buy the place for a perma-meet site.  Headscratch
