Glad you've been coming and having a good time.  But can we avoid using the word "rally"?  It invokes pirates and we aren't pirates.  "Meet" is the better word here.

A rally involves pirates???  I guess you are also a no-show at the Sport Bike Northwest Rally that is held in the Columbia Gorge every summer.  Now that you have admitted that you are not planning to attend WCRM VII, are you going to remove your vote and quit trying to influence where it its held?

Yes I don't go to the NW Rally for many reasons but the name isn't one of them.

And no I won't change my vote...cause I'm not the only one.

Oh jesus....not everyone who votes goes.  I'd be more likely to go to Ukiah though cause I could hit the Infeneon AMA races at the same time.

But the point is that only those who have a serious chance of going should be voting. I'd still vote for Fortuna, but since I won't be going, I'm not voting. It's unfair to vote for something that you have no intentions of participating in.

Well said.  I agree 100%.  And...why would anyone who's not going care where it's at?

But since they apparently do, I think we should all be allowed to vote on where they go this summer.

Seems only fair.

Why would someone with 6 posts care or think they shlould be the one to change the dynamic on how this works?

The point is for the past 3 or 4 years I've been trying to get people to do something different and not meet at Fortuna over and over and over again.  This is a sport-touring place...we are adventurous...we shouldn't lock ourselves into a single place.

So just because I decided to do something different for the past several years doesn't mean I don't care and I won't ever come again.  I know I won't come to Fortuna....been there so many times I don't care about the place anymore.

The number of posts has little to do with the standing of a member. He may have been lurking for the last four years. Or consider some people with thousands of posts but they're all in PO or OT.

C'mon Chris - you do seem to be the lone voice here. Your voice is just a LOT louder than most others  Lol

6 posts notwithstanding, I was at the Fortuna meet last year and I have every intention of being at the meet this year,
wherever it's at.

It matters little to me which location is chosen.  What does matter and what I do care about is how that decision is made.  I simply feel that those individuals that will be directly affected by the decision should be the only ones participating in the process. This
concept is not new, it's been around a long time.

I may be new to this forum but I'v been involved in the voting process for a long, long time.  I fail to see how advocating a fair voting procedure can be construed as attempting to "change the dynamic."
