The number of posts has little to do with the standing of a member. He may have been lurking for the last four years. Or consider some people with thousands of posts but they're all in PO or OT.

C'mon Chris - you do seem to be the lone voice here. Your voice is just a LOT louder than most others  Lol

Oh, and I agree that you're much less abrasive in person  Bigok

So post count and length of time of being part of the community doesn't matter?

I'm pretty sure I've been here longer than you....too bad this place has been rebuilt 3 times so I can't check cause honestly...I can't remember when I joined.   Lol

My point is I want to go but only in Ukiah.  If Ukiah is the place I can then put in an effort to figure out to go....I mean I have an offer for a bike if its available (its complicated) so it might work out that I can go.  My bike might come in earlier than expected and I pick it up earlier so then I could go on my own vehicle.  Who knows...this is what I mean by intentions.

I may be new to this forum but I'v been involved in the voting process for a long, long time.  I fail to see how advocating a fair voting procedure can be construed as attempting to "change the dynamic."

Because that is not how people on *this* forum vote.  Things here are rarely done in the normal way. Smile

Well mostly I'm annoyed that the original voting wasn't up held.  Ukiah won fair and square and there was no mention of a "vote off" after the fact.

I don't think post count means anything, especially when the posts are rarely worth reading...but this isn't about supporting STN, its about supporting WCRM.  When was the last time you actually went to WCRM?  Can't remember?  Let me help you, it was 2006, the first year I attended.  How about 2007 when you were very vocal about not attending if it were held in Ashland?  You got your wish, it wasn't held in Ashland but you were still a no-show, just like 2008 and 2009.

Now you say if it is in Ukiah in 2010 you have intentions of going...if the moon and stars are all perfectly aligned...yea, sure...see you in 2011...maybe.

You also have stated that a runoff vote is unfair...lets take another trip down memory lane.  In 2007 there was a vote between Ashland and 4 California sites , 3 of which were within 150 miles of each other.  Ashland won with about 35 percent of the total vote (same as Eureka and Ukiah this year).  I was the one who asked if there would be a runoff vote between the top two sites and the answer was "NO".   At that time you said a runoff vote was the only fair way to decide and started your own "Should there be a runoff vote" vote.  You should change your name to Mr Inconsistent or Mr Its All About Me.

If you dislike Eureka that much, how many of the WCRM.5s have you attended?

Nope, doesn't mean a damned thing   Razz

You think so? I know that I joined in October 2002. Does it really matter who was here "first"?  Headscratch

Then plan for a VII.5 meet. Post up a thread that says "hey! Let's all meet in Ukiah on August 1st!"   It doesn't have to be the WCRM and you know that. People will ride for just about any excuse. Give them one.

Why I didn't know I had fans.  Thanks for keeping such good tabs on me.

Le's see:

2007 - Didn't go as it conflicted with an endurace race series which I had already commited to.
2008 - Didn't go.  Not sure why but I suspect it was because I was going to Europe in the following weeks and couldn't afford to.
2009 - Didn't go....no street bike makes it kinda hard to go.  I also spent alot of time and money doing some more distance races this past year

So figure out the reasons why before running off about this and that.

Can't plan a .5 meet at one of the possible locations for the .0 meet until after the .0 meet has been planned.   Lol

Also August 1st always seems to be too early for the .5 meet...it seems like it had to happen in like September so we can get snowed on.  Bigsmile

And why are you even here?  Aren't you in like a totally different region now?

Whining what other people do?  I'm whining about the bait and switch with this yet another poll.  It was Ukiah...I posted the proof and now we are doing another vote?  If it was Fortuna then it would have been Fortuna.  I would have though you all sticks in the mudd but I wouldn't be doing what I am doing right now.

Yeah...Cali is a hard place to follow for motorcycles after living there.  Lol

Gee Chris, this is a Sport Touring site, seems like you haven't been doing a lot of sport touring lately and only returned after your proudly displayed bans at a couple of other sites.  Lmao  Cmon, you haven't been to a meet in years and haven't had a bike suitable for extended touring for a couple of years.  It's kind of hollow to year you bitching about the selection process and meet locations.

I'd like to see you attending some more of the meets if only for the entertainment value.  Razz

Hey I EARNED those bans...besides it was Kurt's idea. Smile

Anyhow if the meet time was in June like some of us requested the possibility of me being able to come on my own bike would be above 95%.

BUT no...we have to do the date before the location.

BTW: I see its now equal....

So you are saying that in 2007 when you made a full court press to shoot down Ashland you knew you would not be attending WCRM because you had already committed to an endurance race series.

Sounds a lot like this year, how many of the 27 Ukiah ballots are yours?

Go back and read the thread...

And it wasn't a full court press.  If you thought that was a full court press then you underestimate how much time I can waste on here.   Lol

Edit: BTW: You have a real issue you need to work out.  I suggest going to see a councillor.  Oh and you can only only vote once so take off your tin foil hat!

If the voting is tied after both halves have been played, then we go to a shootout.  Everybody knows that.

I think Ms. Dante gets to shoot first even though she doesn't live in Region 1 anymore.  Tradition and all.   Bigsmile
