I'm curious...Eureka?  I thought it was previously Fortuna.  So what hotels and brew pub are we going to meet at in Eureka?   Bigsmile

If we are really serious about letting the ones who attend...decide...then we should set a date and time and vote on the 2011 location at Eureka/Fortuna this year.

Business is done on the forum and not at some location.  Also having the people who are at the meet this year be the ones who set next years date is not in the spirit of the vote.

The vote was for Eureka, not Fortuna. Nobody voted for
Fortuna. Eureka does have the Lost Coast Brewery, but
within walking distance of a motel is a good question.

Stayed at America's Best Value Inn in Eureka in May two years ago and it was about $58 a night IIRC.  It is down the street from that pub.  Thumbsup

That's 0.3 miles or 4 1/2 blocks btw the motel and pub. $63 a night for 2 queens with AAA card.

Will there be yet another vote this time btw Eureka and Fortuna unless everyone goes to Eureka?

Shhhhhhhhh! Don't jinx it!  Lol

I think Bridgeville is still for sale after 6 years... With current land prices, I bet one big STN bake sale ( and some special brownies baked by Ken) we could finally buy the place for a perma-meet site.  Headscratch

I'm in for $100.  Heck, make that $200.

Don't they usually end up as 99.9% for, against a few bullets spent?

Erm, maybe I shouldn't give anyone any ideers.

Now to get to work on  T shirt for this year.  Anyone with graphic arts ability get on it, please.

I have no graphics skilz... but here's a design idea.

you have a simple map, drawn to show the curvature of the earth between Eureka & Ukiah & you have a poles at each location, like north pole south pole, or a barber pole (don't think that a festivus pole will work). this year Eureka gets to be the bigger end where your focus goes. then next year you change the design to make Ukiah the focus/primary.
