I love Buell Pods

So, like many other people on these internets, I got in on the buell blowouts.   I test rode the 1125r in 2008, and an 1125cr at a demo day this past summer.  The 09 CR was a blast.  I loved the bike.  It went on my list for future bike purchase.    Then along came the blowout and a chance for a brand-new motorcycle for half-price.   As it turns out, my dad wanted one too, so he bought a red one.

I got mine later october and was blessed with a bit of great riding weather.  After thanksgiving though, the weather has been awful and the bike has remained indoors, sta-bil'ed and tendered.  I'll be doing my 600 mile service soon too.  But the bike still seems so new to me that come springtime and nice riding weather... this bike will seem brand-new to me again!   I got to experience the new bike giddiness once, and now the same feeling is returning as winter passes.  A new bike twice, for half the price.   Bigok

Perhaps something good can be said for buying a new bike late in the season.

I got my 1125R for half price.  One month later they are going for AU$4000 more.  If you can get them.  One of the most amaxing bikes I've ridden and not one I'm wanting to part with.

I think as much as people feel betrayed by what happened to Buell, the people who paid msrp for a Buell truly got f*cked.  I actually feel sorry for them.
As usual, NY (Particularly LI) dealers decided not to budge (Much) on their prices.
