Or was it maybe a customer burning off the remnants of his stock tire 5 mins before getting a new replacement mounted?

Oh wait, just saw the temp tag?

How long does it take to get a new tag in the mail anyhow?

Up here, we go into the DMV, register the vehicle and get tags immediately, no waiting.

We don't have "paper tags" like you do in the states, but we can get an "in transit" sticker that is valid for 3 days if you have to move a vehicle from hither to yon.

But you still need insurance first before you can get an "In Transit" sticker.

Why spend $14 grand to abuse a bike like that?  That's what beaters are for!  But hey, it's not my money!   Rolleyes

I wouldn't want anyone to treat an S1000rr like a sportbike. That would be terrible.

Other than throwing rubber everywhere, a burnout doesn't hurt a modern bike. A dyno run doesn't hurt one either.  Headscratch

I did. Explain what damage was done. Feel free to add what damage a burnout does while you're at it.

He sucks at letting the clutch out, and he hit the rev limiter, but as long as the bike is warmed up and allowed to cool down properly, that's not a big deal.
