it's crazy out there. I came in for lunch and to warm up... there's more than 2" on the ground new since then. Got done snowblowing the driveway and the side I started had more than 2" by the time I was done... and my driveway just isn't that big. It is *REALLY* coming down. And the temps are dropping and the wind is coming up.

Apparently in Washington DC they aren't even plowing right now because the whiteout conditions make it too dangerous for the plow truck drivers to be out driving.

And 676 has also been closed.
No plows here today. I couldn't leave the house if I *had* to.
They came through our development when there was about 5" on the ground. Now there is 12" of new snow on the street in front of my hose. Route 222 (the normally busy highway that I live about 200 feet away from) is virtually deserted. Only one vehicle every 5 minutes or so, usually an 18-wheeler. |
