Chris,

Just go get the freakin bike already.  It's will/will not snow no matter what you do.  While you're down there please, please, please get DanK a bike too.  I think he's in Fla this week too.  He's going to rent a bike, explain rent to own to him so that we can finally talk about something else.   Twofinger

I'm stinkin' tired of snow.

I'd bust on Chris for going down to get a bike in bad Winter weather but I rode my Concours home 3 Januarys ago in a sleet storm.  Rolleyes

I wish you much success Chris! Enjoy the warmth down South,

I'm headed to Hermey's on Saturday with a friend so he can buy a new GS. He'll be riding an ST1300 there wired with Gerbings then taking the 80 mile ride home on 78 on a naked bike and no heat  rofl

Maybe I'll pull over every now and then and let him plug his gear in for a few minutes  Bigsmile

I usually enjoy Winter. I usually keep on riding all year, excepting the 5-10 days all season we get that are unridable here in the MidAtlantic. This year is just irksome. I'll enjoy the brief exposure to things like sun and warmth and un-iced asphalt.  Thumbsup

Long johns, thick socks, decent gloves and a stop for lunch/thaw halfway home and he should be fine.

I did some work on the KLR the other day. I'm thinking that Sunday ought to be a good day for a little "test ride" to make sure I put it all back together properly!  Bigsmile

Oh, and while snow is fine during the winter, I will concede that the MIX predicted for next week will probably suck DonkeyBallz  Wink

I just got back from a 10-mile "test ride" on the KLR (the old KLR). I did some work to it the other day and wanted to be sure that everything felt right. And yes, it felt right to be back on the bike  Bigok
