I was just wondering...we used to have a couple owners on the old list. Are you still out there?

I owned a 92 for five years. It's gone now, but it was a great bike. Wish Yamaha would bring the new one over here.

Still got my 92. Approaching 60,000 miles and runs better than ever. Got the itch for a new bike, but just can't find anything that can do everything so well.

Yea, that about sums it up for me too—although my 92 only has 42,000 miles on it. Good to have you back.

Another ex-owner.
And the best bike to replace it so far is my R1200GS beemer.

Thats the type of bike I am interested in buying. Something that can do all roads. I just can't let myself throwdown something that cost that much and there is not much else out there.

I still have my 92. Its become a garage queen and I'm looking to sell. It doesn't get any use or care since the FJR and the Warrior moved in. It is a great bike though.

If you still have your TDM in the Spring we should meet (I live just north of Oklahoma City) on our TDMs. What a sight that would be...

Still have mine too. ('92 w/30k)
After the FJR purchase, my nephew bought into it so he could ride it but I think I'm going to buy him back out of it. I STILL love this bike!
My question would be.....where are all the info sights like every other bike has? All I keep finding are websites full of pictures and not much more.

The best site is
www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?act=home
this is a European site (England), but has some US stuff in it.

I have a '93. Great bike. I want to sell it but I have a hard time finding something I can afford that can replace it. So I keep riding the TDM.

Here's a recent pic of mine. It has a rattle can bed liner finish. I had the seat recovered all black too.

I've done several mods to mine: an öhlins shock, R1 front calipers, revalved front shocks by aftershocks, Wolf exhaust, galfer braided brake lines, and a factory pro jet kit. Still red the fastest color

Love the TRX. Trellis frames are sexy.

Yes the TRX is a fine thing. Many happy kays over the years. Got no idea what I would replace it with however. Any suggestions?
Toyed with the idea of a ST3S Duc for a while but found the test ride underwhelming. So I am currently treating the old girl to a set of new valves, stem seals, rebore with new pistons and rings. Dunno about bikes being better than sex, but my TRX will no doubt outlast my marrage....

Lots of suggestions, no answers. I'm in the same boat as my TDM approaches 60k miles. I tend to vacillate between a V-Strom, a wee-strom, a VFR 800, a Tiger, or going with more of a ds bike like an XR650L, DR650, LC4 or KLR 650.
