The fifth annual "Burger Run" to Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA will be on Sunday April 25th. Dennys is the home of the Worlds Largest Hamburger. They have several "big" burgers to choose from if you want to put a team together to tackle one. I found that 8 people is a good number for the "Ye Olde 96'er". Plan on arriving around 11:30am - Noon, having a long lunch, then blasting for home around 2pm. Expect 100+ riders to show up if the weather cooperates. All are welcome. Feel free to spread the word. This event has grown way beyond its meager Region 6 "Meet and Eat" beginnings. Regional web forums from around PA are asking about the Burger Run.

As in years past, many STN members will make a weekend of it and spend Saturday night at the Days Inn in Clearfield. If the Days Inn fills up (EX: Swinger party last year), there are other hotels nearby. The date is set, so you can make your reservations. Rumor has it the bar at the Days Inn is closed (need to confirm that), so plan on having an impromptu parking lot beer suck and BS session on Saturday night.

Based on feedback from previous years, I am pushing to have an option for some kind of outdoor food sales to alleviate the wait for service and food. Let's face it: we crush the place on a nice weekend. Be patient. Hopefully Denny can work something out to just have us roam the parking lot with BBQ sandwiches or something. I'm not in charge, so we'll see what he can come up with.

Since this is the 5th anniversary, Denny was talking about T-shirts and wanting to do something special. Nothing firm planned, but it's still early. More on that to come.

I will also post road info to let people that aren't familiar with north-central PA know where the interesting stuff is at.

More info about Dennys can be found here: http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com

Search for "Burger Run" ride reports from previous years to get a feel for what it's like.

It's on the calendar! Which doesn't mean much, but at least it'll be on my radar.

As for shirts, please note that jimmystartup is back in charge at Desteenation, so if you want some very good quality shirts printed up for this, please keep him in mind. He's a good guy and has done the shirts for some Nationals and WCRMs  Thumbsup

I'd offer to truck some beer in once again if the wife comes along and we drive in, however I don't wanna upset anyone's sensibilities.  Lol

Cool! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/th4eec30cd.gif

Anyone interested in splitting on of those "2 Double Bed Non-Smoking" rooms on 4/24 with a friendly, non-smoker, sometimes light snorer (me)?

+1 The roads are especially good north of I-80.

My plans are to put in a 300+ mile day on Saturday, hang out with peeps in the Days Inn lot Saturday night, and head to Mansfield, OH for a track day on Monday.
