Arrived at HIE about 6:30 yesterday evening.  Garmin went screwy the last couple miles and routed us on dirt roads with fresh gravel to some quarry.   Dennys was slammed so we rode downtown and had dinner at Hedges.   Weather looks promising for a morning/early afternoon ride today.

Fwiw you're able to get pitchers to take back to your room for $6.50, bar is open, but still no kitchen service. We brought Arbys back and ate in the bar.

Just got back home from a great meet! I didn't have time to stick around for Denny's today (too much to do at home).

I left home yesterday around 1pm, took 4hrs to ride up (the long, twisty, way of course) and managed to completely avoid any rain. Arrived around 5:30 to find plenty of STNers already hanging out in the lot. After yakking and having a beer or two, a group of us went to the Dutch Pantry across the street for dinner, followed by (of course) more jawing and drinking at the hotel afterwards.

Got up this morning, grabbed breakfast at Dunkin Donuts with several people, then headed home. Managed to avoid rain again on my way south...and even rode into glorious sunshine and blue skies when I hit Berkeley Springs, WV---woohoo!

It felt SO good after a winter of not riding much to spend several hours each day lost in the Zen of twisty mountain roads!  Bigok I'm starting to feel like a real rider again! And it was great seeing "the family" again.  Smile

Can't wait for the next meet!

Just got in.  825 mile weekend, not too bad.  Had a great time with everyone (as usual), especially good to see some folks I haven't seen in a while.  Pics in the next day or so.

For the record: Yes, I am still alive. No, the cleaning staff @ the hotel don't have anything extra to clean. And, No, I will not do that again.

Dan and I are home, safe and dry. I think we were ahead of the storm, but just barely, as we hit quite a few "misty" patches that blur up a visor really well  Rolleyes

We made a stop in State College and had brunch with our friends before heading back. Nothing exciting on the way back: took 322 to Lewisburg (nice ride) and then 80 the rest of the way home. Now we have the afternoon/evening to kick back and relax...

Oh, we left around 9am and saw a small pack of bikes leaving the gas station across from the Super 8. I hope you had a good ride  Thumbsup It was nice to see you guys  Bigok

I got home a little bit ago. 630 miles for me. Managed to stay dry the whole time. Great ride on Saturday under blue skies and sunshine. Nice couple hours on damp/drying roads this morning, then took the slightly scenic route home under blues skies and sunshine.  We hit a wall of nasty, dark storm clouds a few miles from home. I managed to thread the needle between cells and got home dry.

Rather light turnout for lunch. Between the weather forecast scaring off lots of Pittsburgh day riders and most of the overnight crew heading directly home, we barely filled up the back room.

I too drank too much last night, but felt surprisingly good this morning. Dehydrated and a little mentally fuzzy, but that's about it.

Another fine STN gathering. Hope everyone makes it home safely.

Got home to Jersey around 3:30. Missed most of the rain. Didn't miss the fog though. Yikes!  Had a great time.  Smile

Smoker and I made it back with about 420 miles for the day.  It started out raining and was wet most of the way up.  We hit a lot of dense fog on the mountains, so I cut short the route back.  Twisty roads and no visibility is bad.  Nice seeing people at the lunch, and anyone that missed that didn't get the fancy-dancy shwag (a STN commemorative beer holder!).  Best of luck to Marcster and his bike, and safe travels to 2wTraveller from GA with whom we rode thru some fog soup together.
