Those are some nice pictures. You were riding back roads before Adventure riding ever came around.
When I was a kid we would run dirt roads for hours on end it was so much fun seeing old town, schools and house. My dad would tell me story about the old places that’s been forgotten now. That sure brings back memories.
Thanks

What bike was that?
You probably already knew it's a Moto Guzzi (kind of hard to miss that part). The model is a 1973 California Police. In Civilian trim it was known as the Eldorado. It is a surprisingly good bike off road.

It's not the size that counts, its how you use it. Wait were have I heard this before. Used to love to ride in the back way through the Wichita Wildlife Refuge coming from Clinton to Lawton. Buffalo vs. Motorcycle is not very appealing though. Great pics!

Do you happen to remember where the old building was? That would be cool to get another picture of it if it were still standing.

Elgin, Kansas is just over the border from Oklahoma (the only paved road into the town is through Oklahoma). There is much less there today than there was in that earlier picture.
