...and before the bashing begins. Since the DSB rules were soooo unfair, it should be easiy for you to come up with a better set of rules. Answer this question:
How would you create a class where Twins can compete with 600cc inlines with an EQUAL chance of winning???
Keep in mind, te best middleweight twin in the world is the Duc 848, and it cannot hang with a 600cc inline on the track.

There were other ways Buell kept the speed down while playing with the little kids
Remember, Eslick personally applying the duct tape to his 1125R bodywork

Something broke on a race machine?
Here is a good read about racing breakdowns:

Last I saw, Buell won a championship. Even after HD basically dared them to compete in DSB, because they couldn't compete with the Jap I4s.

Everybody bashed Buell for it.
Thank God that at least now some of us will know the truth behind it.

Class-based racing is fun when you're watching the 600s street-derived super sports. I think that's my favorite class-based racing. But it's not the end-all of racing.
I don't profess to being any kind of racing expert. In fact, I've said on a number of occasions, I like watching it, but I don't "follow" racing at all any more. It seems to me that class-based racing becomes more of a factory pissing match as time goes on. Meh...

This year will be interesting...Steve Rapp is racing a Duc 848 in the DSB class. I think there will still be a Buell or two raced, so that will be good.

That article is too short to split across pages. Lowlife website click crap bordering on SEO gaming. Grrrrr....
Still a great read, though.

Good stuff. If you are the kind of rider that likes to push a sportbike to it's handling limits...the 1125 handles amazingly well and is scary fast.
As a matter fact, the sun is out today and I am going for a ride.

Now, can we put *that* to rest?
Good interview. I wish him well.

Most people universally love unicorns, so they don't have to worry about it. The same can't be said for Erik Buell or the 1125....wait...what?

Actually good advice for you. You should ignore the Buell section since EB and the 1125 both bother you so much.
I wish EB best of luck in starting a new motorcycle company in the near future. Good to hear that is his intention.
