Hello Everyone!
 
I'm knew here but, have been riding, racing and sport touring for over 23 years. Let me share with you my current problem.
I am planning a cross country trip this June from south Florida to Illinois and back on my 2004, Suzuki GSX-R 1000. I am seeking a set of HELI bars for my bike as I currently have Vortex clip-ons installed. Not the most comfortable for long distance travel as I'm sure you will agree. I contacted the manufacturer and they informed me that they discontinued the product for my make and model. Just my luck! They only offer their HELI bars for the 2005 GSX-R 1000 model forward.

I have searched Ebay and Craigslist for a set of used HELI bars for a 2004 GSX-R 1000 without any luck. If anyone knows where I can purchase a used set I would be very grateful. Thank you for reading my first post at Sport-Touring.net.

According to the Convertibar website both the 2004 and 2005 GSXR 1000 have 50 mm forks. So I think the later model bars will fit.

Thank you! The HELI bars are an excellent fit and I now feel that I can make a 3,000 mile trip comfortably on my 04' Gixxer. Thumbsup
