I just got these in the mail. I have no connection to this guy, just a nice set of machined sliders. With these and my Pods, if I ever put it down, hopefully it will be cheap

Dark Horse Moto is a great company that sells axle sliders. I have a set on the Uly and would recommend. No other affiliation.

The one thing I would suggest is the sliders that are racing spools. I had the regular ones but may purchase the spool type. Now I'm looking for a swingarm stand and it makes it a tad easier with spools on the Buell!

Trouble with spool lifts with axle siders is that you can't support the bike to change the wheel or the belt - two good reasons to have a stand. I have one with flats unders the swingarm for the Firebolt. Dead easy. My 1125 has spools on he swingarm but the 2008 didn't. I've nicked the swingarm with the spool lift stand. The swing arm lift is a bit less inclined to scratch.

Can be. I've knicked the paint on my '06 Uly's SA with my Pitbull stand. And that was with the "horns" turned down and duct tape wrapped around the ends of the ledge. If that helps visualize any...
Axle sliders are good and protect what are some of the few parts easily damaged on slim Buells. But they do get in the way when you are changing wheels.

Good point Bueller! I forgot about that. I knew that the swingarm on my uly has the lift points for the regular lifts. Forgot about actual maintenance though!
