Got some work done this morning, then pulled the cover off the FJR while on a conference call. I noticed my calendar was clear for the afternoon, so I set my status to Away.

Bike fired RIGHT up! Last time she was on was Oct 09.

Add a few PSI of air to Front and Rear tires, and a quick wipe down with some Honda cleaner.

Donned all my gear (I miss that ritual). Everything still fits Smile

Quick brake and light check and I was off on the road. Felt fantastic as was expected. Stuck to main roads mostly, too smart to hit the twisties this early in the season...stopped by the adult beverage store and grabbed some Jameson's. Three hours later I am home.

Ahhhhh. Yessss...

I've been getting out here & there.  Passed through the Mohawk Trail this past Sunday.  The roads were surprisingly clean for this time of year.  Not a lot of traffic either.  Do the boys a favor though, and watch for frost heaves.   EEK!

..I was pondering the Mohawk Trail, but I just can't behave myself on that road...especially the tighter stuff on it. I will refrain until a couple of good showers come and wash the badness away.

Gonna order up some fresh plugs, air filter, oil, diff oil, lube the shaft, and get these Pirelli Angels that have been in my living room all winter mounted, and then its ON.

If you see a big guy on an 05 FJR in a BMW Santiago Suit, feel free to give me the one fingerd salute, or friendly wave.. I respond to both.

I'm jealous. I visited my '05 FJR last weekend and installed some highway pegs. Unfortunately I have 600 feet of muddy dirt road between where the paved road ends and my paved driveway begins. Maybe next weekend after the rains.

fhaze: Are you the guy I kept seeing on Rt 9 in 'Burgy and Goshen last year?

Hey all,

I took Wed off for my kid's high school registration in the pm and had a great ride through the northern Catskills. Started to hit the Mohawk Trail from this end last weekend, but my hands were getting cold the farther I rode. Then I hit reserve on a new (unfamiliar) bike and there ain't much gas around the state line, so I did a u-ee.

How do I add an image or attach one; it syas they're all too big?

Anyone here doing the Burger Run?

If you host the picture on another site (photobucket, imageshack), there is no limit on the picture size.

As for the Burger Run, I'm going. Just have to book the hotel.

Leebo is riding with a couple/few others; coffee, etc at my place near Albany, might be a 1/2 room left by the sound of it.

Looking closer now; Albany would be a little out of the way from Cape Cod, but maybe you can still work out to share a room if you want. Looking forward to seeing you there.

It's all good west of Charlemont.   Still plenty of ice/snowmelt going on, so take it easy with the WFO action in the shadowed areas down by the river.

mobile update from the Frieght Yard Pub.... 116 west from I91 to 112 is clear and dry. 112 north is clear and dry to 2 with some snow melt at the bottom of the hill by Apple Valley. Rt2 west is clear and dry all the way to NY EXCEPT for Savoy along the Cold River. Also, frost heaves going around the corner by the first turn-off in Savoy. Once you cross the bridge into Florida, perfect.

What a beautiful day to just ride around.

Looks like today will be more of the same. Thumbsup

Good to see you are back riding fred.
I been out mostly in the CT area . Suppose to hit 70 this weekend so might venture a bit further.

Can`t believe its only March and we hit 70 for the last 3 days.
