There was always the wondering of Pietre's factory Honda ride. He was Haslam-like in his lightning starts and always quite visible with his Simpson Lazer "Darth" lid. He'd start out fast then fade back to 6th or something.

Turns out he was a rich sportsman. Made his money growing citrus fruit, legitimately. Not like the Whittington brothers and their Indy car efforts.

The '80s were rife with fun. You should have been there. The '60s can't compare.
