...it seems more squids are going for naked bikes nowdays..well the ones in my area at least.

It's all about the resale value.

/Less plastic for them to destroy riding like d-bags.

WANT.

But I also really like the Z1000 and Er-6n and Aprilia Shiver. I have the taste of a Japanese teenager apparently.  Twofinger

the ER-6n could be improved on looks greatly by changing the headlight unit

How many naked road bikes does Yamaha USA offer, not including dual-sports?  Zero!

Maybe there is a reason for this... like perhaps Americans don't buy naked bikes.

I always had hopes the 750cc class would come back. 600cc bikes are to little for some and 1000+ cc bikes are to much for others.

I'm confused why we need an 800cc FZ1. Headscratch  It has the same frame and swingarm as the FZ1.  I guess it's just slower? Shrug

Was hoping the FZ8 would be the answer for my next bike.  Not to be since we are not even sure it will be coming here.  Plus I just can't live with that tail pipe, even if I swapped it out.

Thus, just bought a new '09 FZ6 to replace the '04.  Supersweet deal.  Will hold me over until I really see the bike I want.  Kind of like when I saw the FZ6 first come on to the market.  Haven't had that feeling since when you weigh all factors: price, performance, fit, color, needs, and looks.  Nothing else compares so I bought another Beerchug

Anyone looking for a new ride?  2004 FZ6 on the market!

It's around the same weight as my SV,  same fuel capacity, with 35 more ponies-very tempting.  Cool

I'd guess it gets around 42-45 miles/gallon.

I do think that this means that we will see a new FZ1 with a crossplane crank in 2011.

I hope so, while I was out walking this weekend I heard an R1 with some pipes on it at a stoplight. It sounded great Inlove An FZ-1 with that crank would be awesome, even if the performance was the same as the current one, it would be worth the change just for the exhaust note.
