Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take a little ride for this event:

http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,49133.0.html

So far I've booked vacation from work and have Saturday July 17th>Sunday July 31st firmly in the free-flight zone. Leaving from and returning to Los Angeles.

I haven't even begun to map out the possibilities for routes. I'm vaguely thinking something along the statelines of California,Oregon, Washington and/or Idaho on the way up and adding Montana, Utah, Nevada the way back to California.

At this point just wondering how many US riders are considering making a run to Kootenay in July? Would be cool to meet up with other riders along the way...  Bigok

I'm planning to go, and I get to start from Beaverton, OR but my timing is iffy: yesterday was my last day of work, so.....if I dont have a job by the BBBQ,  I can join you a few days before the weekend and take two days to get there, exploring all the kewl roads east of the Cascades, etc

But, if I do get a job, it will be difficult for me to take too much time off (maybe just Thursday afternoon and Friday) and make it a 1.5 day blast up....

LOL that'd be fun!  What color did you ordering again?  I'm getting white.

Yeah, I'm getting black and Neal's getting red, thus the tri-color remark.

Oh yeah, we could also settle the "which color's faster" debate, right quick.

Well it'll be nice to see Rick and Chris again.   I believe Traveller was also considering the trip up.

GTS has been to two of the Banff Runs.  That's where he such a connection with the BC RCMP Bigsmile.  Of course you'd have to be nuts to follow him anywhere.

I'm going and so's Grant--from the US it sounds like it'll be Duc, Duc, Duc...Goose!  Lol

Seriously though--heading up in a day from Seattle Friday, but taking a couple of days afterwards to ride home.

I crossed the border pretty far east last year, encountering a bunch of BMW riders en route to that rally (oh, and lightning).
