Is there a safe way to buy an item off Craigslist when you can't do the transaction in cash face to face? I found a pair of boots I'd like to buy but they're in Georgia and I'm in Illinois. I'd be willing to pay shipping if the seller will go to the trouble but I'm sure they won't take a check, is Paypal an option? Any safe way to do this?
Could also have him send it through USPS "cash on delivery" and you have a USPS money order prepared for when it arrives.
