Awesome stuff guys... I should have posted "where should i live, if i get to phoenix"? Since i turned this into a home/location thread.
So....knowing all about the traffic condition....you all know what my spending limits are.... Here is the approximate location of where i could be working.
3000 East Broadway
Phoenix, AZ 85040
Could you all suggest the best place for me to start my home search? I really do hate long commutes...i'd think about 30 mins max.
Newer or older homes? I will shoot you some zip codes.

Keep in mnd Phoenix is one of the capitals of foreclosures, short sale, and homes begging for buyers. You shouldn't have any problem finding a house.

Check out the Paradise Valley area. It is just west of Scottsdale. From Tatum (48th St) to 32nd St and Union Hills down to Shea Blvd is a decent area when I lived at 32nd and Bell but that is getting close to 20 years ago now.

Sodapop has you headed in the right direction if you want on the north side of town. Anything from Shea north to the 101 along the 51 freeway. East as far as Tatum, West as far as 7th Street. That should keep you within a 30 minute commute. The further north the newer the homes.
North newest homes first

South of your work the West Chandler area is actually recovering and home values going up. Good schools as well.

And Awhatukee on the other side of the 10

Happy house hunting.

If you get one with a decent sized guest house, you can have a couple of civilized renters PDQ.
