This may be old news but it's new to me.

I saw this in the latest issue of Visor Down. They used the same graphic for both the Yamaha Fazer 8 and the Super Tenere if that lends any credence to the claim.

Sorry for the remarkably bad cel phone pic...

The pic says the Tiger Cub was, "Spotted testing over a year ago."   Headscratch

I don't recall seeing any clear spy pics, apart from the recent Motard sighting.  I would be interested in a minimalist 675 Motard over a 675 Tiger - crossing my fingers on that one.

Maybe a Tiger Cub (or "Liger" as I referred to it on TriumphRAT.net) would be a better complement to my Sprint than a STriple (R).  Of course, the point/thought/desire is m00t since there's no way I could afford 2 bikes.

IN the latest Triumph magazine (sent to owners that register, I believe), there was an interview with John Bloor -- he specifically called out the "enduro" market as one he felt had lots of growth opportunities -- as the guy whose privately held company arguably started the commercially available streetfighter niche, I'd listen to the man . . . . .

but that's just me ;-}

I'm a registered T. owner, and don't receive said mag. Sad  Anyway, I've said for some time I'd like a half-faired, longer-travel version of the 675. Love the Striple, but want a bit more weather protection.

If it comes out, and if it still has a 675 (which I kinda doubt), it'll be a low-revving/higher torque mill than what's in the Wee-Tona/Wee-Triple.

But I'm betting they'll stroke the 675 to 750 or 800cc, with a 12k redline, and gain a lot of bottom end torque compared to the original 675.  And that motor will probably find its way into the Street Triple in short order, and maybe even in a smaller Sprint.

SRSLY?  Crazy  (have both instead)

Heheh, when I wrote that, another forum member interpreted it as shorthand for "lowered Tiger".

Yeah, maybe.  I love the Speedy, but a Tiger would be more practical for me.  I would just need to convince myself fully that I didn't want the horsepower my current whip afford me Bigsmile

HAH...GL with that!  Lol

I saw a white Tiger on the way to work this morning going the other way.  It had all 3 bags on; how you could miss it is beyond me.  Oh, I guess my point is I'd hope a Tiger Cub is as visible as the current 1050 Cat.

Be careful with that logic. I've made that move before and regretted it.

Local dealer says a 675cc Tiger is coming out within the next year.

It will be offered in 2 versions: street and off-road.

I hope it's that semi-naked Speed Triple-like Motard thing from the spy shots, and not simply a smaller engined Tiger 1050.

It's about time there was a Triumph "supermoto!"

screw all the tiger cub speculators...
oh, and screw triumph for not listening to them Rave
my guess is that this year's new bike will be a plus-sized (again) thunderbird.
