What a strange racing class, or bunch of racing classes.  I don't understand how they picked what bikes to run.  Not that that's a bad thing, since all the bikes being run were cool. But a 749 vs a 1200R (and the BMW was winning!) Headscratch

I infer from the list of entries that the "ST" in "MOTO-ST" refers to Sport Twins, not Sport Touring.

They're all twins.

This is clearly not a class anyone really gives a shit about or people would be howling about the results in the thread title. Lol

Couldn't disagree more; finally we have a race between bikes that are actually streetable and, what's more, produce real power in the useable range.

What a refreshing change.

Apprently you missed my point. I wasn't disparaging the race or class, merely making a comment about the lack of outrage at the violation of the cardinal Pit Row rule: No results in thread titles.

Indeed I did; my bad.  Maybe it's because it wasn't posted in PR.

But maybe, since these bikes are slower across the line, their fans are slower to anger.   Wink

But how about this series for a concept: racing bikes with mid-range punch!  Thumbsup

Could it be that 'priller fans haven't had much to celebrate since before "the internets"?  Bigsmile

...but I think that it's only applicable in those situations where someone wishes to watch a delayed broadcast on TV (or the Internets) and doesn't want to know the results beforehand.

Is MotoST broadcast anywhere? That would be nice, and I would be as equally outraged as you Wink

In any case, go Aprilia!!!!

“It’s great. I worked on the pit crew when we were here in October. I was excited. I had never felt like that before. It’s been a long time since I felt that feeling you get just working on the pit crew after my breaking my back. This is really my first race back after that. I broke 11 ribs and my seventh vertebrae. I’ve got 12 screws and two steel rods holding me together. I’m a little stiff right now but I’m so excited right now.”

Hey, I was just in Italy and spent a significant amount of time that might otherwise have been spent doing something useful checking out European bike magazines.

Best Italian mag by far is Motocyclismo.  The April issue had a huge spread about the Tuonos winning Daytona.  Sure, I only understand every third word because it's in frickin' Italian, but there were lots of pictures.

The boys and girls at Motocyclismo were pumped about the T!  Another Italian bike stepping up big.
