It could be the future-electricity-so, what would make you buy a lecky bike?

Any current model you'd buy?

What do you want from such a thing? Speed, how far it can go, cheapness?

All they would hafta do for me is make an electric FJR...... Thumbsup

Actually it would be pretty easy, power it electrically and run a coupla wires to the windshield controller.

That's funny.
Before I even got to this post I was thinking if it had similar 0-60, top speed and 'fuel' range as something like a KLR650, I'd be in.
I would of course require another bike in addition to handle touring duties, but for a ride to work/errands bike an electric KLR would be tits.

I'd rather buy a bike that ran on thinly sliced dolphin meat. I'm sure that would annoy somebody.

I'd be into them if the bikes had the range and the infrastructure was there to make it practical. Oh yeah, and if I had the $$

I have no interest in a electric street bike but a dirt bike on the other hand would be sweet. Flying through the woods of northern Michigan scaring the feck outa deer and hikers? Count me in  Thumbsup

I can't speak for others, but the last time I carried weapons in the woods, I tended to shoot at things that scared me.

Just sayin
